Thursday: Please note that your independent reading journals will be due at the end of winter break. You should have 1 a,b, or c journal for every 15-20 pages depending on your book length. Finish reading Hamlet through Act III scene 3: 2 journal entries per scene with the exception of the last in Act III. Please read Act IV in its entirety and complete the questions for your character committee. Be prepared to share your answers in class and begin working on your character presentation in groups on Tuesday.
Week of 12/19/16 Tuesday: Students worked on preparations for character committee presentations for Hamlet. Students reviewed Free Response Question 1 . There will be 3 Free-Response Questions on the test wherein students will be given 2 Hours to complete (55% of Exam Score) Students write essays that respond to three free-response prompts.. In class today, we reviewed student samples of a literary analysis of a given poem. Students were then asked to complete their own literary analysis.
Week of 1/03/17
Tuesday: Students shared their character committee presentations with the class. Students were given AP Multiple Choice questions in class for passage 1. We discussed answers in small groups and reviewed answers as a class. Students were asked to complete the multiple choice questions for homework.
Tuesday: Students will review answers to multiple choice questions in small groups. Then, we will review as a class. Students will finish reading Act V and answer all Questions for Critical Thinking and Writing on pg 1648 and 1649 in their DiYanni Literature books.
Thursday: Students will discuss Hamlet Critical Thinking and Writing Questions. Students will then review for final.
